dodging huge downed walnut trees
wading in juicy, stickery blackberry patches
thousands of seed ticks headed toward our cojones
doused with kerosene from the waist down
slippery truck seats on our naked kerosened butts

muscles flexing
loose as a goose
whispering to horses and women
muddy pants with deep pockets
